Location
Holiday homes Borgo Antico are located in the medieval village of Raggiolo, 50 km east of Florence and 30 km north of Arezzo. The authentic village, with an altitude of 750 meter, lies halfway the 1500 meter high mountain Pratomagno in nature reserve Foreste Casentinesi. The mostly car free centre is full of atmospheric squares and small alleys that, because of the height differences, offer beautiful views on the valley Casentino. In this untouched mountain area are many authentic villages like La Verna, Camaldoli, Poppi and San Benedetto in Alpe. In the last starts a 2,5 hour long hiking route which leads to the famous waterfalls of Acquacheta. Next to the possibility to go for great walks through ancient forests, also a visit to art cities like Florence and Arezzo is easy to make. Holiday homes Borgo Antico are completely renovated to comfortable houses, provided with modern facilities but with maintaining the original Tuscan atmosphere. This ancient village is ideal for people who are looking for peace and quiet. Cars are not allowed, need to be left at the entrance of the park. 800 meter from holiday homes Borgo Antico guests can enjoy the shared, fenced swimming pool (open from 28 April till 29 September).
