Holiday farm Il Rifugio dell'Arcobaleno is located in the village of Popiglio, in the heart of the Pistoia Mountains, along the SS12 that runs from the Abetone to the Brenner. The farm is 30 northwest of Pistoia and 45 km northeast of Lucca. In 1200 this area belonged to the Duke Guidi di Modigliana that also managed the castles of Popiglio e Piteglio. From the caste Popiglio are nowadays still two towers left that can be reached via a hiking path. The location, between the nature reserve of the Appenino Modenese and the Alpi Apuane, offers a lot of possible excursions, like hiking trips or car trips to cultural cities like Firenze, Pisa and Lucca. A perfect balance between nature and history. The farm is very nice to relax. The swimming pool (open from 28 April till 29 September) has a beautiful view on the forests and offers a lot of privacy because it is fenced with plants. The fully enclosed farm consists of 2 spacious and fully furnished apartments, with modern facilities. Outside there is enough room for kids to play. All apartments have an own entrance and guests can use the washing machine against a small fee of €5 each time. Holiday farm Il Rifugio dell'Arcobaleno will ensure a relaxing and private holiday.
