Location
In the far north of North Netherlands lies former island Wieringen. It is a special piece of Holland with a landscape that alters from the surrounding polders. It has a rolling landscape and a bit more 'loose' environement with twisting roads along garden walls and big boulders. Recreational park Wiringherlant is a small scale park with the atmosphere of the past and several accommondations. Like a camping site with more than 100 permanent sites, a dozen hotel rooms and a couple luxurious villas and chalets. In the heart of the park lies 'Het Lagerhuys', a catering establishment with a nice bar, terrace, snack corner and restaurant. Here is also a playground. There is an animation program during the highseason. The park is bounded by a dike with the Wadden Sea behind it. It is possible to launch your own boat. Other water sports possiblities are in Den Oever. On a separate part of the park, directly at the dike are 15 exclusive villas, built in 2008. The detached houses are built on a spacious terrain in a style that dates back 100 years. By using brick roads, shell paths and many green between the houses, the atmosphere of an old fishing town is created. This type has its own jacuzzi.
